sayonara shortcake

This is the first new song released since the group transitioned to the duo lineup of pippi and Pau.

It marks the first time in approximately 11 years that the members themselves have handled both the lyrics and composition for a new release.

"Sayonara Shortcake" features a sweet, breezy sound that captures memories of a past romance and the emotions that suddenly resurface after a breakup. Using the shortcake, and the strawberry atop it,as a motif, the song portrays the end of a relationship, encompassing not only the sweetness of love but also a touch of bittersweet melancholy and tartness.

While Electric Ribbon has previously released music through collaborations with various songwriters, the members themselves-pippi and Pau-took charge of the production for this track.

The song carries on the musical style Electric Ribbon has cultivated over the years while presenting a fresh sound that only the current members could create.

We invite you to enjoy this track from the new-look Electric Ribbon, featuring a light, pleasant sound and a poignant story that evokes a sense of nostalgia.
