Through the cracks of night, the broken sky above
Footsteps carve in the dark
Holding neither meaning, neither name at all
Still a voice whispers
The fragile line between truth and lies
Through a fading clock, the needles turn
Quietly marking the night
Every time I see it Drifting far away
Shifting, fading out
The fragile line between truth and lies
At my fingertips, what was it that I held?
Still a quiet voice keeps whispering into me

KYOKAISEN
mrtwobase
Marking the curtain-rise of his solo project, this debut single serves as a striking manifesto of mrtwobase's aggressive style and aesthetic.
Opening with a captivating piano phrase, the track unfolds like a sonic kaleidoscope. It reveals a multitude of expressions driven by tension-filled odd-time signatures and an intensely tight ensemble.
Featuring Misaki from SpecialThanks as a guest vocalist, her powerful, resonant voice layered over the intricate and tricky instrumentation pushes the track past its boiling point. True to its title, it paints an overwhelming soundscape that relentlessly heats up as it crosses the "borderline" (Kyokaisen).
