I pulled out a guitar riff that had been sleeping for a while. Instead of overthinking the chords and structure, I just followed my instincts. The lyrics came to me just as naturally, and it felt like a lucky accident - so the title "Serendipity" was a perfect fit.

I want to say it was all feeling, but I did focus on making the drums sound like modern funk. I really put a lot of effort into making a tight, bouncy groove, using lots of reverse cymbals, and replacing some cymbals with sound effects. I hope you'll listen for those details!
