I turned 60 this year and work as a doctor in the middle of nowhere in the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I resumed composing in 2018 after a 32-year hiatus. My father's work took me to New York for two years, from 1978 to 2019, where I was introduced to jazz and wanted to compose. By chance, when I was a teenager, I met Katsu, who graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, mastered the 10-string guitar stick, and returned to Japan. He taught me jazz arrangements. Without him, I wouldn't have the composing skills I have today. Even though I haven't done any musical work for 32 years, it's thanks to him that I'm able to compose music now. New York is my second home, a city I want to live in. However, the harsh reality is that my dream of living in New York likely won't come true in the future. I occasionally compose musics that evoke my feelings for New York, hoping to at least express them in my music.

I'm a doctor living in the countryside of the Kanto Plain, 100km north of Tokyo. I was born in 1966 and hadn't done any musical work for 32 years, but I found the time in 2018 to start composing musics again. I lived in New York for two years from 1978 for my father's work, but I forgot English. I met my jazz teacher as a teenager and became interested in jazz. I was originally a big fan of YMO and Ryuichi Sakamoto, but after meeting my teacher, my musical tastes changed. That said, I still love both Ryuichi Sakamoto and YMO. Personally, I'm willing to compose musics for anything except enka. I consider the time I wrote enka to be the culmination of my career as a composer. I've decided to share my music, from jazz to techno, classical to world music, with the world as proof of my life. To my teacher, Katsu, I'd like to thank you for imparting your musical knowledge to me at a young age.
