    He was born in 1978 in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from the Composition Course of the Kunitachi College of Music. Since debuting, while still in high school with his original piano solo album "The Window", he has released original 5 piano albums. His talent as a composer of music for movies and dramas has received attention since his early years. He composed the music for the movie "Inugami" in 2001 during his senior year of college and for the movie "The Choice of Hercules (Totsunyuseyo! Asama sanso jiken)" in 2002. In 2004, he composed the music for NHK's serial TV drama "Tenka". He composed more than 50 titles of music including TV dramas, theatre plays and the movies "Climber's High", "Orinon za karano shoutaijou", "Yunagi no machi Sakura no kuni", "Ohoku" "Ohoku Eien'" and "Itai Asu heno Tokakan" etc. One of his works is the movie 'Nobody Watch Over Me' which won the best script awards at Montreal Film Festival in 2008. He joined Studio Ghibli's new film 'When Marnie Was There (2014)' which was released in U.S.A. in May 2015. His composition ranges from classical to popular music and his collaboration works include Japanese and International artists in various genres of music. His most prestigious collaboration work is the song "Far away" with Libera , the British boys choir. It is the theme song of the NHK drama series "Hyouheki", and its simultaneous worldwide release has become a massive hit. In 2012, he composed the song 'Kono saki no michi' lyrics by Goro Matsui, for NHK Saturday Special Drama 'Makete, Katsu - Sengo wo tsukutta otoko Shigeru Yoshida'. This has been sung by Josh Groban, a world famous singer. This music has been released in U.S.A., U.K. and worldwide. Aside from Libera, he has collaborated with many International artists including CelticWoman, Russell Watson, Haley Westenra and Katherine Jenkins etc. He performs at the joint concerts, playing the piano and music arrangements. In 2014, he composed a set piece of music called 'Yuuki' and the lyrics by Rieko Nakagawa for the 81st NHK National School Music Competition /Primary School Division. He also composes some school songs and classical music.
