• JAKE

  JAKE is a hip-hop artist from Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture, and has been active in the underground music scene of the Sanin region since 2007. In 2015, he established his own independent label, Inaba Records, through which he has continuously released original works and performed live across Japan. In the well-known Ultimate MC Battle (UMB), JAKE overcame the lack of a Tottori regional qualifier by winning the Shimane tournament, earning a spot in the national finals where he placed in the top 4. The following year, he launched the Tottori regional qualifiers himself and has since represented the prefecture in the national tournament five times, most notably achieving second place in 2024. In addition to digital distribution, JAKE puts strong emphasis on physical releases, personally selling over 5,000 CDs throughout the country. This reflects his dedication to grassroots promotion and direct connection with audiences. Now based in both Tottori and the Kansai region, JAKE is known for his high mobility and proactive approach, always seeking new opportunities and expanding his presence in the Japanese hip-hop scene. As a rare voice from Japan's least-populated prefecture, JAKE acts as a cultural ambassador for his hometown, bringing local identity to the national stage and redefining what is possible for regional artists.

• BoNTCH SWiNGA
