  safmusic is a singer songwriter and music producer born in 2000 in Amakusa Kumamoto Japan. Based in Tokyo and Kanagawa his music blends alternative rock and hyperpop with elements of shoegaze ambient and experimental music creating a unique sound that captures the atmosphere of urban life and emotional fluctuation. In 2020 he began his career as yo a member of the music unit DENYEN TOSHI gaining attention with songs such as Darling Darii yo. After the group went on hiatus in 2022 he started his solo project under the name safmusic. In the same year he released his first album From this river to the ocean. In 2023 he followed with his second album You are not rockstar Im not rockstar which further highlighted his alternative sensibility and DIY approach to music. safmusic handles every aspect of his music production including songwriting arrangement track making and mixing. In addition to his solo work he has worked as a producer collaborating with artists such as Lilniina who28 lilbesh ramko and Cwondo from No Buses and also contributed a remix for the singer yama. In 2025 he released his third album MASTERPIECE which reinterprets the spirit of Japanese guitar rock from the 2010s through a modern 2020s perspective. The album attracted attention and he held a one man release show at Wall and Wall in Omotesando further establishing himself as a new voice in Japans alternative music scene.
