This is the fourth album by pianist/composer Hiroko Miyano.
The album consists of 7 songs, including self-covers of her popular songs, newly written "Beginnings", and the bossa nova masterpiece "triste".

The style of the music gives a sense of scenery, adding a sense of peace and gentleness, and expressing the various inner feelings of anxiety and harshness reminiscent of the current times, as well as expectations for the future.
Japan's leading musicians, Harutoshi Ito (vc), Kazuma Fujimoto (gt), Kiichiro Komobuchi (bs), and Yoichi Okabe (per), have come together to create a new world of sound that transcends the boundaries of jazz, world music, classical music, and pop music.

The album was mixed by Yasuharu Okuda and mastered by John Polito of Audio Mechanics in Los Angeles.

Artist Profile

  • Hiroko Miyano

    Pianist / Composer Hiroko Miyano was born in Chiba, Japan and moved often with her family while growing up, living in Hokkaido, Shizuoka, and Bangkok, Thailand. Hiroko Miyano currently performs regularly in the Tokyo area with her contemporary jazz piano, playing melodic, original tunes that capture everyday sights and scenes. She has also collaborated with various Brazilian jazz fusion groups on live performances and recording sessions.
