I was not without anger.
I simply chose not to use it.

I could have stopped you.
I could have erased you this very moment.
That would not have been difficult.

And yet,
I watched what you would choose.

Because people never truly learn
when someone else stops them.
They learn only
from the mistakes they choose themselves.

So I remained silent
for a very long time.

It was not tolerance.
