KOTA FUDAUCHI is a Japanese actor, filmmaker, and director, born in 1985 in Osaka, Japan. He graduated from the Department of Theatrical Arts at Kindai University in Japan and studied acting and stage directing with Yasu Ohashi and Kayoko Mori. From them, he learned the Le Jacques Lecoq Method. This experience taught him how to play a diverse set of characters and create a wide range of stories. In addition, Fudauchi's talent for improvisation and collaborating with other actors, directors, and production staff members is well regarded in the industry. After graduating from university, he moved to Tokyo to start his career as an actor in 2013. In 2017, he moved to New York City to study English at Hunter College Language Institute. During this time he worked for student and independent film productions and met director Sabrina Zhao who he continues to collaborate with. Among his performances was his role as Hisoka in the musical To Live in Peace. After returning to Japan from New York, he has starred in films such as That Disappearance, Hide and Sniff, and Palm to the Sun, which won several awards and appeared in film festivals around the world. For Hide and Sniff, Fudauchi took home the Best Actor award at the Snow Leopard International Film Festival. For Palm to the Sun, he took The Actor Award in Torremolinos international film festival in Spain, which he attended. On top of his accolades for acting, Fudauchi has been nominated for many awards for films he directed. The film "SUMMER TIME" won awards in the Southampton International Film Festival (2014), ReelHeART International Film and Screenplay Festival (2015) and the Cinema London Film Festival (2017). His 2nd film, "MOTHER AND SON" (2017) won the Audience award and Second Runner-up for best film in a 48 hour project in Tokyo. In addition to his work in film, Fudauchi became a member of the American audio drama team How We Manage Stuff in 2021. He continues to pursue a wide range of art and music productions that he promotes worldwide. Currently, his focus has shifted towards singing.
