GOAT（Greatest Of All Time）は、
結果ではなく、挑み続ける姿勢そのものを刻んだアルバムだ。
Hideの歪んだギターを軸に、
Ryoの感情を剥き出しにするボーカル、
Akitoが生み出すうねるベースラインと楽曲構築力、
Shinの魂を撃ち抜くドラムが重なり、
バンドとしての現在地をはっきりと刻み込んでいる。
表題曲「GOAT」は、
AkitoとHideによる共作曲。
Akitoが描いたからこそ成立したサウンドに、
Hideの視点が重なり、このアルバムの核となる一曲へと昇華された。
全楽曲の作詞はHideが手がけ、
迷い、怒り、後悔、そして誇りを言葉として刻み込んでいる。
カップリングには、
「Fairy Tale」のifバージョンを収録。
歌詞はそのままに、
編曲からRyoが加わったことで、
同じ言葉を持ちながらも作曲から再構築された、
まったく別の物語として生まれ変わった一曲だ。
選ばなかった道にも、意味はある。
王道を外れてもいい。
自分だけの道を進め。
その先にこそ、本当の GOAT がいる。

ACE
ACE（Another Centuries Episode）は、 Hideをリーダーとする4人組ロックバンド。 メンバーは、ボーカルのRyo、ベースのAkito、ドラムのShin。 結成は15年前。 Hide、Ryo、Akitoが高校1年生の頃にバンドを結成し、 当時中学3年生だったShinも加わった。 年齢も環境も少しずつ違いながら、 同じ時間と音楽を共有し続けてきた。 バンド名のACEは、 Another Centuries Episode の頭文字。 それぞれが異なる物語やルーツを持ちながら、 それらがひとつに重なり合い、 ひとつのエピソードとして鳴り続けていく―― そんな想いが込められている。 Hideがリーダーとしてバンドを率い、 全楽曲の作詞作曲を担当。 歪んだギターを軸に、 Ryoの感情を剥き出しにするボーカル、 Akitoの楽曲を支え導くベース、 Shinの魂を撃ち抜くドラムが重なり、 ACEならではのロックサウンドを形作っている。 ACEは完成形ではない。 過去も現在も抱えながら、 次の時代へと物語を更新し続けるバンドだ。
