Vortexion (ヴォルテシオン) エクストリームメタルコア Vo. hazuki Gt. Duffle Gt. mokky Ba. Bomb バンドの前身は、動画配信サイトにおける繋がりから生まれた。当初はメタルジャンルを中心としたカバー配信や、数年に一度パフォーマンスを行う形態であったが、方向性を共にするhazuki, Duffle, mokkyが独立し「Vortexion」を立ち上げる。 結成後、1stシングル「until i wake」をリリース。続いてBombの加入で活動は加速し、さらに、Finland在住の気鋭デザイナーLuukasを専属クリエイターとして招聘。詩の世界観や物語の深淵まで描き出す彼のアートワークが楽曲にさらなる奥行きをもたらし、2nd「fractured ideal」をリリース。以降もLuukasとの共同制作を継続し、3rd「lost reverie」、4th「abyss」と作品を発表している。 メンバーの出身地が大阪と東北に分かれているため活動範囲は多岐にわたる。サブカルチャーの盛り上がりを見せる新潟にて、今後のシーンを担う新プロジェクトのお披露目イベントに出演し、鮮烈なデビューを飾った。 また、大阪でのホールイベント出演時には、メンバーが縦横無尽に駆け回る圧巻のステージング、キャリアに裏付けられた確かな技術を披露。初来阪公演にも関わらずオーディエンスを強く惹き付け、アンコールが沸き起こる熱狂を生み出したことは記憶に新しい。 初期楽曲はDuffleが主軸となり作曲を担当。hazukiが物語の世界観を紡いで詩に落とし込み、楽曲の攻撃性を極限まで引き出すスクリームワークと、美しさと儚さを帯びたクリーンメロディを乗せていく。そこに各メンバーのアプローチでアレンジを加え楽曲を磨き上げる制作スタイルが確立されている。 特筆すべきは、音楽とアートの融合である。hazukiの紡ぐ「詩」は楽曲間において世界観を共有し、数曲単位でひとつの物語を構成している。物語を元にLuukasが描いたアートから着想を得て、楽曲アレンジが加えられるなど、この相互作用が作品クオリティを唯一無二の次元へと昇華させている。
