AE Launches Three-Month Digital Release Series with First Single

Kicking off their three-month consecutive digital release, LAE drops their fifth single to date-their grooviest work yet. Anchored by drumbeats reminiscent of 90s US R&B, the track layers Shiroma (Gt.)'s distinctive, nostalgic lyrics to create a rich sonic texture.

The title "Guava Guava Playground" takes its name from a fictional cocktail inspired by guava, a fruit Shiroma considers his soul food. Entirely in English, the verses unfold as a rap-driven narrative, while the mellow hook delivers a vivid contrast to the track's energetic verses.

Artist Profile

LAE
Formed in April 2020, this band began their musical journey as a cover band performing on the streets. However, the COVID-19 pandemic led to restrictions on their live performances, prompting them to shift their focus to live shows at music venues and active posting of original songs on platforms such as Instagram and street performances. A Pop Funk band formed by Shiroma (Gt) from Okinawa, Ryo (Dr) from Toyama, and Kento (Key) from Tokyo. With a deep respect for roots music at its core, the trio boldly ventures into recent music scene. Shiroma, raised on a small island in Okinawa, brings fiery passion and energy to the stage through English fluency and sharp rap lyrics honed on YouTube. Their tight, perfectly synchronized vocal harmonies further elevate the band's magnetic sound.
