AE Launches Three-Month Digital Release Series with First Single

Kicking off their three-month consecutive digital release, LAE drops their fifth single to date-their grooviest work yet. Anchored by drumbeats reminiscent of 90s US R&B, the track layers Shiroma (Gt.)'s distinctive, nostalgic lyrics to create a rich sonic texture.

The title "Guava Guava Playground" takes its name from a fictional cocktail inspired by guava, a fruit Shiroma considers his soul food. Entirely in English, the verses unfold as a rap-driven narrative, while the mellow hook delivers a vivid contrast to the track's energetic verses.

The group is a Pop Funk band consisting of Shiroma (Gt) from a remote island in Okinawa, Ryo (Dr) from Toyama, and Kento (Key) from Tokyo. With deep respect for roots music, they boldly challenge the contemporary music scene. Ryo's compositions-shaped by a childhood in snowy northern cities and a deep passion for funk and soul-intertwine with Shiroma's free-spirited yet nostalgic lyrics, born from life on a small island in Okinawa. Together, they express the band's energy and spirit in full force.
