われわれが生きる現代社会は、目まぐるしい変化の中にあります。
にんげんに限らず、せいぶつというものは誕生した瞬間から、周囲の個体との競争や環境への適応といった、避けられないストレスに常に晒されています。これがせいぶつの宿命といえるでしょう。
結果として、どのような手段であれ、生存権を勝ち取った個体だけが生き残り、そのいでんや経験は次の世代へと引き継がれていきます。この繰り返しによって、せいぶつの歴史は続いてきました。しかし、この「輪廻」に私は非常に強い違和感を覚えています。
社会の冷酷さへの違和感
人間社会が単なる競争に過ぎず、未来をあゆむ権利を勝ち取れなかった人々が消えていくのが当然のことだとするならば、そのような環境は極めて残酷だと言わざるを得ません。
この「当然」とされるかこくな状況に、私はどうしても納得することができず、いわかんをぬぐいさることができないのです。
私は、この残酷さに対する「わるあがき」として、何かを変えるこころみをしています。その一つのこころみが、この空間の創造なのです。

yoko405 (Yoko Yonmarugo) is an artist based in Kochi, Japan, engaging in diverse creative expressions. Her work spans from producing study music to collaborating with various artists, as well as creating and sharing digital content. Her notable work "I like you" was released in collaboration with a female band vocalist active in Japan, presented in two languages. Since then, she has continued to release multiple works in collaboration with painters, musicians, designers, and other creators across different fields.
