This is the first EP by harou, a four-piece indie rock band formed in Japan in 2022.
The band mainly uses DAW to write songs, and their ambitious work is scattered with a sound that is not straightforward, yet somehow catchy.
The band's roots are in 70's New York punk and 90's US indie music, but the music has been reconstructed with a modern Japanese pop sensibility.
The song "Time Machine," in which a man encounters his former self in a dream, and "EKG," in which a man becomes a fish and heads for the afterlife, depict a feverish human life in the broad daylight consciousness.
Harou is a Japanese band made up of four members: Tsujino (Vo.Gt.), Tsujishita (Gt.Vo.), Furutani (Ba.), and Yoshimatsu (Dr.).
