言葉を愛し、辞書を旅し続ける男・佐藤嘉洋が、
「友」の語釈から創り上げた英語詞の新曲
『A Friend Is a Light』が誕生しました。
新明解・明鏡・広辞苑──
三つの辞書に刻まれた「友」の定義をもとに、
“心が通い合う人”“志を共にする者”“道づれ”“書物や俳句を友とする生き方”など、
さまざまな形の友情を英語の詩で丁寧に編み上げました。
楽曲は、心深くに優しく灯るようなレゲエのメロディに乗せて、
「友」の本質を静かに、しかし力強く歌い上げています。
