• Tomoyuki Kimura

  He completed his postgraduate diploma in music composition at Osaka College of Music. He studied composition under Kei KONDO and Yoshio MUTO, and studied double bass with Kazuo OKUDA. In 2002 his jazz band Kimusaku released CD TSUNAGARETA AO (Makoto NAKAMURA, piano and produce) and performed at Wellington Japan Festival and in various places in Japan. He has participated in performances with the artists such as Terumasa HINO, Othello MOLINEAUX, Eddie HENDERSON, Clifton ANDERSON and Roy CAMPBELL. He has been a member of Jiro AKAMATSU Band, Takuya KIMURA Trio and TAIGA Band, as well as playing regularly with The Domestic Jazz Band since 1993 of Shigeru AKIYAMA. As a composer he has provided many musical and theater music. Super Recorder Quartet. arranged by him has been published in 2012. New album Furukotobumi released in November 2012. He is currently a lecturer at Osaka College of Music and Osaka University of Art.
