The nine-tailed fox

The nine-tailed fox is a fictional fox monster with nine tails.
It originated in China.
In the Nasu region of Tochigi Prefecture, there is an old legend about a nine-tailed fox that committed a crime and was sealed away in the killing stone in Nasu. In my song, the nine-tailed fox disguised itself as a beautiful woman, fell in love with Minamoto no Yoritomo, and while they were spending time together, she let her guard down and her disguise fell off, revealing the fox's tail. She was then shot to death by an arrow from one of the seko (Yoritomo's retainers, said to have numbered 1,000) during a hunting party. This is a song I created based on that story.
