Rie Aono's new single "Boyfriend" is out now from her upcoming 4th album "TOKYO step".

Produced & composed by the pop genius Yoshihiko Seki, this track answers the ultimate musical daydream: "What if Phil Spector produced The Fifth Avenue Band?"

Driven by a bouncy, feel-good shuffle groove, cheerful city guitars, and her incredibly cute, nostalgic vocals, "Boyfriend" tells a story of frustrating romance themed around baseball.

Recorded by an all-star lineup featuring Japan's finest session musicians who back giants like Haruomi Hosono and Gen Hoshino. Mixed by Yoshihiko Seki and mastered by Seiki Sato (microstar).

If you love Sugar Babe's "Parade" Tatsuro Yamashita, Eiichi Ohtaki and Taeko Onuki, and sophisticated retro-pop vibes, this will make you want to dance!
