The landmark debut album inside out by acclaimed guitarist Akitoshi Kuroda will finally be released digitally on June 27 as the 2026 Remastered Edition.
Originally released in 2010, this album has been newly remastered in 2026 by engineer Yutaka Hori, bringing fresh clarity and depth to the vibrant performances and sound that defined the original recording. The album features all 10 original tracks, including the title song "inside out," as well as "week," "blue," "radiant," and "one life."
This release fully showcases Kuroda's exceptional guitar work and expressive musicianship. Produced by Tetsuji Nishigaki and sound-produced by Akitoshi Kuroda himself, the album captures both his roots as a guitarist and his unique artistic vision.
Kuroda has supported an impressive roster of artists, including Tomoyasu Hotei, Chikuzen Sato, Yumi Matsutoya, Miki Imai, TWICE, KARA, Ayaka, Kobukuro, Naotaro Moriyama, and Motoki Ohmori. inside out stands as the starting point of the remarkable career of one of Japan's most respected guitarists.

Akitoshi Kuroda Guitarist / Composer Born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Akitoshi Kuroda began his professional career as a session guitarist in 1998. At the age of 26, he was selected to join the recording sessions and concert tours of Chikuzen Sato and SING LIKE TALKING, a milestone that led to collaborations with numerous prominent artists. Over the years, he has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists, including YUI, Miki Imai, Naotaro Moriyama, Yumi Matsutoya, Ayaka, KinKi Kids, NEWS, King & Prince, Kobukuro, KARA, TWICE, Mika Nakashima, Mayo Okamoto, Kou Shibasaki, Ayumi Hamasaki, Ryo Nishikido, Walkure, Megumi Nakajima, Anri Kumaki, Misako Uno (AAA), Hatsune Miku, Fumiya Sashida, Motoki Omori (Mrs. GREEN APPLE), and Ms.OOJA. In addition to artist support work, his activities span a broad range of genres, including film and television scoring, video game music, and commercial productions. In 2010, Kuroda released his first album as a bandleader, Inside Out, marking the beginning of his solo career. In 2019, he followed the 3-track acoustic solo guitar release Turn Over with Lodestar, further establishing himself as an acoustic solo guitarist. His latest release is Murph. In 2016, Kuroda fulfilled a lifelong dream by performing alongside Tomoyasu Hotei, the artist who inspired him to pick up the guitar. Since then, he has participated in all of Hotei's tours, including the highly successful 2-night performance at Keio Arena, which concluded to great acclaim. More recently, Kuroda joined Motoki Omori of Mrs. GREEN APPLE for his solo project Moyoshi. The project has attracted considerable attention, with its theme song being featured as the new opening theme for News Zero.
