Artist Profile

  • RYUJI

Born in 1991 in Namie Town, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture. MC of the local unit Mexicali Boys in Iwaki City. In December 2019, the sixth compilation album WAKAKICHI vol.6, which has produced many artists from all over the country, included the song Futari no Sora which describes his past circumstances and his thoughts on the town of REP. After appearing on Abema TV's Abemamix and TV Tokyo's Ryuha-R, he opened the door to nationwide coverage. In March 2020, he released his first EP REP It is a piece that reflects his backbone and future determination, which had not been seen before. September 2021: Released the song show me life for his father. The song describes the feelings towards the hometown, where there are differences in ideas between generations. Futari no Sora and Show Me Life' caught the attention of the media, and various stations and companies covered the songs. A documentary program was produced on NHK, and due to the positive feedback it received, it was also aired overseas. There is something about the words and thoughts he writes that move people's hearts. I want you to experience that too.
