  cipptapp is a four-piece alternative band based in Tokyo, formed in 2008. Fronted by lyricist, vocalist, and guitarist CHIKARA, the band creates delicate and dreamlike narratives that evoke passing winds and fragments of memory. Their sound blends intricately constructed, post-rock-inspired guitar textures with raw, heavily distorted noise. Guitarist sgisan adds depth and sharpness to the sonic landscape. The rhythm section, featuring kenji on bass and jiin A on drums, builds dynamic and ever-shifting grooves that move beyond conventional structures, forming a uniquely immersive musical experience. Known for their deeply absorbing live performances, cipptapp leaves audiences with the lingering feeling of having watched a film, transported somewhere beyond the everyday.
