Songs of Love, Death, and Transcendence Vol. 1 Front Cover

Lyric

Fire of the Sun (Universe is Infinite ver.)

Ananda Jacobs

In time, days will dissolve

And fall out into nothing

And you'll find ways of imploding

All heartache and mind ties

And I know I should be grateful

Still, I find I long for what I can't have anymore

Where did that love go?

Through the odyssey

Will we return to join the light?

Fire of the Sun

Through the endless sea

High above the ground

Should you find that you can only

Awaken through closed eyes

Gaze out, observe the waves of stars

Falling when you rise

And I know I should be grateful

Still I find that I fall by the wayside

(But you did not seem so far away!)

Where did that love go?

Through the odyssey

Will we return to join the light?

Fire of the Sun

To the rapture

High above the clouds

When you return to the elements

And find that the earth moves beneath you

And you feel you're surrounded by stars

Wide and deep and distant

You will find that, as with love

The universe is infinite

    Love Returns

    Ananda Jacobs

Based on her own spiritual experiences, "Songs of Love, Death, and Transcendence Vol. 1" encompasses themes based on deep inner realms, love, and soul connections. The album is Ananda's self-produced work in which she composed the music, wrote the lyrics, and assembled the tracks for all songs. Deep electronica, synth pop, industrial and dream pop-infused rhythm tracks resonate with pastoral soundscapes of strings and theremin, all embraced by a downpour of sublime vocals reminiscent of Enya and Sarah Brightman. The lyrics, interspersed with metaphors on eternal love and one's inner self, point to the soul in a state of revelation, gently enveloping and inviting listeners on a meditative spiritual journey. Feeling deep love, feeling the light within, feeling the connection of souls, feeling the Earth as if gazing down from the universe, all boundaries disappear and one is released. Comfortable waves carry the listener throughout the entirety of the album.

  • Ananda Jacobs

Music producer, composer, artist. In 2006 Ananda came to Japan as a model, and soon thereafter felt compelled to relocate to Tokyo from Los Angeles.  While working as a narrator and actor in commercials, television, and radio programs, she continues her activities as a multi-faceted artist, composing music and lyrics as well as trackmaking and mixing.  Her signature sound fuses new age, pop, industrial electronic, and classical arrangements in a cross-over blend, as her distinctive worldview is expressed through penetratingly clear vocals and lyrical themes reflecting a deeper knowledge of the self, dream worlds, and the human experience. In 2014 she released the 3-song mini-album "WAY" under the name Jacobs, and in 2019 released her 3-song mini-album "Fire of the Sun." In 2020 she released the 5-song mini-album "PALOR." Additionally she has released the singles "Massacre" (2010), "Mirror" (2020), and "Hikari" (English ver.)/(Japanese ver.) (2021). As an actress she has appeared in the NHK television series "Yae no Sakura" and "Massan," the Otona Keikaku stage production "Welcome Nippon," and the movie "Akai Kutsu no Onnanoko" ("The Girl with the Red Shoes"), and as a narrator has voiced commercials for Sony, Shiseido, and Uniqlo.
