Artist Profile

  • Hazama Ritsushi

A singer-songwriter from Amami Oshima. Moved to Tokyo after reaching the finals of the teen-exclusive rock festival "Senkou Riot," organized primarily by TOKYO FM. After their band disbanded, they began performing as a "one-person punk band," using acoustic performances and programmed sound sources. They sing catchy, ear-pleasing lyrics with a bold and refreshing rhyme scheme, set to a variety of musical genres. Their songs cover highly relatable themes, such as overly direct messages to hometown friends, love songs for morning drama actresses, bittersweet memories of late-night convenience store shifts, and the universal struggle of chronic tardiness. Their music is described as "a little funny, but it might make you cry when you're feeling under the weather," with numerous tracks embodying this vibe. Known for an energetic live performance style, they have shared the stage with a diverse and colorful lineup of artists, including Chiaki Mayumura, Rina Katahira, Ghost like girlfriend, Dekami-chan, and Critterick Lis. Beyond performing, they have been widely commissioned as a composer, creating background music for the theater series "Nanabar Sambatsu," featuring members of the theater troupe Europe Kikaku and Nogizaka46, as well as jingles and segment tracks for radio programs. They have appeared on various media outlets, including CBC Radio's "Mukai no Shaberikata," other regional radio shows, and TBS's "Yoru no Brunch." On TOKYO FM's "SCHOOL OF LOCK! Education Committee," they gained attention by incorporating sketch-comedy-style antics into the broadcasts themselves.
