2000年初頭の空気感を、自分勝手に解釈しながら、スタジオに入り、ライブをして、またスタジオに入る。ガイーンッと鳴るギター、ドドゥーンッと響くベース、スパパパンと切り込むドラム、そして、ボエーッ！と金星の言葉を受信して歌うボーカルが重なり、曲ができていく。僕でもない、君でもない、“誰か”の目線で描く。だから解釈は聴く人に委ねる「なんとなく」の空気感。日常の、ごく当たり前を、“独特”というスパイスで不可解にし、さも詩的に、哲学的に、それっぽく、高らかに歌い上げる。合い言葉はデッドに！ リバーブは80年代に捨ててこい。憧れと逆張り、ジレンマと葛藤のせめぎ合いが詰まった、ファーストアルバム『INDWAT』。2008年、映画『ヘイジャパ！』（監督：村松亮太郎／出演：神田沙也加）主題歌「2999」および挿入歌いろいろ収録。

    indwat is a Tokyo-based band formed in the late 90s. a record of young misfits who couldn't quite surrender to the wave of grunge, US hardcore, and alternative rock. They jammed in studios, recorded lo-fi tracks, and played gigs at live houses like Koenji GEAR, Shinjuku ANTIKNOCK, and Shibuya CYCLONE. chasing a deliberately dead sound that captured the raw mood of the time. Their lyrics take a third-person view, embracing the aesthetic of ambiguity. Sung as if poetic, as if philosophical, as if meaningful. yet always left open to interpretation. indwat is a portrait of an era where whatever was not apathy, but a form of freedom.
