A song written in 2024.
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, we have been living in an age of conflict.
When I saw the news of Israel's invasion of Gaza, I felt the need to preserve my feelings from that moment in the form of lyrics, and this song was born.
Wanting the music to be composed by someone other than myself, I asked Hiroyuki Sasaki-a singer-songwriter and also a staff member at Yakitori King-to set these lyrics to music.
I then arranged the song as a rock number and completed it through self-recording.
Even today, the world is overflowing with bad news.
This song speaks of the individuals who grieve on the other side of that "bad news," noting that regardless of nationality, they are human beings just like us-and celebrating the beauty of those who are able to feel empathy for them.
May true peace come to the world.
From a powerless singer who can do nothing but sing a prayer.
