[Third Release in the Tanzaku CD Series! DJ DEKKACHAN Covers "Odoru Pompokolin"!]
DJ DEKKACHAN, a passionate collector of the iconic tanzaku CD-the 8cm single CDs that were hugely popular in the 1990s-is back with the highly anticipated third release in his tanzaku CD series!
Known as "Japan's sweatiest DJ," DEKKACHAN has recently been making waves as a family-friendly DJ, bringing fun to both adults and children alike.
For this release, he chose a song everyone knows and loves-"Odoru Pompokolin," the legendary theme song of the beloved anime Chibi Maruko-chan!
Inspired by his desire to "create a song that the whole family can sing and enjoy together," DEKKACHAN put his unique spin on this timeless classic.
Packed with both nostalgia and freshness, this third tanzaku CD is sure to bring joy across generations-and is guaranteed to light up any venue!
Don't miss it!
Once again, the [TEAM DEKKACHAN] lineup is here:
TRON handled the guitar, recording, mixing, and cover arrangement;
Sogatch brought the groove on bass;
and AID (Tomoya Suzuki) captured and designed the jacket artwork.
This time, the cover pays homage to the original "Odoru Pompokolin" tanzaku CD illustration, lovingly recreated in a live-action tribute!
The B-side, "Dekkachan Taiso" (Dekkachan Exercise Song), has already been a hit at family events all over Japan.
Children who didn't even know about DEKKACHAN before hear the song and can't help but shout, "It's Dekkachan!" and join in on the fun.
Of course, this tanzaku CD also includes a karaoke version-an essential part of any proper tanzaku release.
We hope you'll sing along while holding the CD in your hand and enjoying the lyrics!
A CD that brings generations together-
We truly hope you'll give it a listen and add it to your collection!
