"Scenes I thought I had forgotten were still alive somewhere inside me."
This album began when I opened my diaries from my school days.
Scenes I thought I had forgotten.
Laughter shared during an ordinary lunch break.
Light streaming through a window.
The walk home on a rainy afternoon.
I can no longer remember each of these moments clearly when I try to recall them. And yet, those small fragments have gathered together to become who I am today.
Yuu -Gathering the Fragments- was born as I slowly picked up these pieces of my life, one by one.
It includes a piece I rewrote from a song I composed in high school, a melody that first came to me when I was a child, and new pieces inspired by reading my old diaries.
This is not music about looking back with nostalgia. It is music about discovering that the past is still connected to the person I am today.
I hope this album will give you a chance to remember a forgotten scene of your own.
