Matchstick's 10th digital single. Inspired by a phrase Jö found in a notebook from his middle school days-"Even if I were to disappear, the world wouldn't change. So I should just live as myself"- this song expresses, in honest and relatable terms, the "philosophy for surviving" he has developed through his own experiences as an adult.
Matchstick is a Japanese musician, a solo project by Jö. With a genre-defying musical style and a delicate sensibility, Matchstick crafts songs that confront reality with honesty, resonating with listeners across a wide range of generations. Jö independently handles every aspect of the project, including songwriting, composition, arrangement, artwork, and music video production. In 2019, Matchstick performed alongside Night de Light at the event "Ai no Hakobune," delivering a successful live show. In addition to creating original music, Jö has worked on letter songs for weddings, background music for radio programs, and has provided songs for rappers, idols, and other bands. In 2020, one of these works was broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time. In 2023, Matchstick officially launched as a full-scale project. With over 4 million total views across YouTube and TikTok, Matchstick is gaining attention as a next-generation musician.
