Maybe I'm Just A Fool

Kensuke Sudo

She’s got a way about her

There’s always someone around her

Whenever I try

I know she’s not anyone

A magic she brings me

Makes me feel like I’m 17

Wherever I go

I can’t get her out of my head

So what do I do?

Now that I know it’s true

But still I can’t choose

Maybe I'm just a fool

I tell you I know

Which way I should go

But I let her go

I’m such a fool, you see

They say it’s so easy

But my head’s gone all dizzy

In my yesterday’s dream

I could be a brave one

So what do I do?

Now that I know it’s true

But still I can’t choose

Maybe I’m just a fool

I tell you I know

Which way I should go

If I let her go

I’m such a fool, you see

Once it starts to run

I can’t help but lose control

Is it planned that I’m in love with her?

So what do I do?

Now that I know it’s true

But still I can’t choose

Maybe I am just a fool

I tell you I know

Which way I should go

If I let her go

I’m such a fool you see

So what do I do?

Now that I know it’s true

But still I can’t choose

Maybe I am just a fool

I tell you I know

Which way I should go

If I let her go

I’m such a fool you see

    Maybe I'm Just A Fool

    Kensuke Sudo

What begins with electric piano phrases reminiscent of Stevie Wonder soon unfolds into a Beatles-esque pop tune.
The lyrical theme-mocking one s own shortcomings-carries echoes of "I'm A Loser," revealing once again how deeply the Beatles are ingrained in Kensuke Sudo s musical DNA.
Despite its self-deprecating message, the song is wrapped in irresistibly upbeat and melodic pop, showcasing Sudo as a singer-songwriter firmly rooted in the long-standing tradition of rock, blues, and pop music.

Artist Profile

  • Kensuke Sudo

Kensuke Sudo is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Kobe, Japan. He performs, records, and mixes all of his music by himself, crafting each track with meticulous attention to detail. In August 2025, he released his second album UnderGROUND, a record built on one simple but powerful principle: sing what truly needs to be sung. Having begun home recording at the age of nine, Sudo brings years of production experience into harmony with a growing lyrical depth. The result is a mature and organic blend of sound and voice. Rooted in a deep love for The Beatles, his music also draws from blue-eyed soul, UK rock, and minimalist grooves - pushing DIY pop into a new frontier. His first album NowhereLAND, released in November 2024, showcased a Beatles-inspired approach to songwriting and production. The record earned praise from Abbey Road Studios mastering engineer Sean Magee, who said : Good song and nice sound, this man should have a bright future. Sudo s sonic craftsmanship has clearly crossed borders - something already evident in the international audience engaging with his YouTube channel. Drawing from everyday emotions and memories, Sudo continues to pursue a sound that does not chase trends, but quietly carves out its own space. While his primary focus remains on recorded work, he also performs live with a group of like-minded musicians from his generation.
