For this album, the band draws on distinctly Japanese culture and indigenous sensibilities - not simply as motifs, but as elements embedded into the very texture and sonic character of the music. In doing so, the record embodies what the band calls "Japanese Ritual Rock."
The album was recorded entirely by the band themselves, with outside engineers brought in only for mixing and mastering. By building the recording environment and the album's world from the ground up on their own terms, they captured a rawness and sense of otherness that stand apart from the polished conventions of traditional studio production.
As the album begins, listeners find themselves wandering into the strange, otherworldly realm of "Fuzoku Nekoya Honpo", where they encounter a series of bizarre and uncanny experiences before eventually making their way back to reality.
