From beyond distant memory, Earth's song I hear
Rustling wind, birds' voices, sound of waves
Reaching through radio static
A faint echo shakes my soul
Echoes of Earth Blues, a homeland's sound
Loneliness grows with electronic blues
That smile, those tears from that day
All like a distant dream
Smell of soil, post-rain sky
I want to feel the warm sunlight on my skin
Family I can only meet in photos
My longing just grows stronger
Echoes of Earth Blues, a homeland's sound
Loneliness grows with electronic blues
That smile, those tears from that day
All like a distant dream
A small singing voice echoing in the cosmic darkness
May my thoughts of Earth reach there
Until the day I can return
I'll keep singing the homeland blues
Echoes of Earth Blues, a homeland's sound
Loneliness grows with electronic blues
That smile, those tears from that day
All like a distant dream

Asteroid Blues Band's first album, "Cosmic Junk Blues," is finally here!
In a remote corner of space, there are a group of middle-aged men silently collecting space junk. They are the most unique blues band in the galaxy: Asteroid Blues Band. Hal Armstrong, Owen Cosmo, Benny Magellan, and Jet Stardust. Each aboard a different spaceship, they perform lonely missions, but they share a common passion for the blues.
Without instruments in space, they rely solely on electronic sounds and sampled sounds generated by the spaceship's computer, and their seasoned vocals, honed over years of space life. To them, the spaceship itself is their instrument, and the vastness of space is their stage. Occasionally, the system glitches and strange noises get mixed in, but that's all part of their blues sound. If Earth-based blues sings of the down-to-earth aspects of life, their blues sings of the dust, loneliness, and modest hopes of space.
Their long-awaited first album, "Cosmic Junk Blues," is filled with the band's everyday lives and soulful cries.
The opening track, "Space Debris Shuffle," depicts their day job, collecting space debris, with a certain humor and melancholy. You can picture them shuffling through rusty screws, rotten satellite fragments, and the remnants of someone's forgotten dreams.
"Nebula Noodle Night" describes a simple yet heartwarming moment in space, slurping instant noodles while gazing at a colorful nebula. It's a blues song about the modest happiness found in a lonely corner of the universe.
Their music doesn't simply satisfy sci-fi curiosity. The loneliness of the vastness of space, nostalgia for distant Earth, and the down-to-earth humanity of these middle-aged men who keep looking forward no matter what the situation resonate deeply with listeners.
"Even without instruments, as long as we have space, we can sing the blues!"
So they boast, and we invite you to listen for yourself to hear the soulful cry delivered from a remote corner of the universe.
"Cosmic Junk Blues" is a one-of-a-kind sound that will bring the cosmic breeze and melancholy of the blues into your everyday life.
