If I build a castle out of sand
I bet you’ll be the one to crash it down
Before the waves do
Before the waves do, before the waves do
だけど最近気づいた yeah I realized that I don’t hate or love
People like you
People like you, people like you
‘Cause we’re all thirsty though we try to hide it
It’s like were in the midst of open water
Anyone to drink it is doomed to dehydrate
Where are you gonna rest your feet
When you’re in too deep?
Are you gonna fly? Or are you the type to say things like
“Let’s try and wait” and stare at the sky?
But who’s gonna start his engine
And come and try and find you in the middle of the night?
We all make castles out of sand
I know you’ve built yours far beyond the rocks
Where no one finds you
No one finds you, no one finds you
I’ve got a friend that I would take a bullet to the heart
That is, I mean if I had to, if I had to, if I reaaaaally had to
And we’re all looking for that perfect distance
Don’t want the waves to steal our dreams away
Let’s look for beauty in things that don’t last
Who will you share your story with and laugh
“Oh damn, thought I was gonna die!”
‘Cause I find treasure in times like these
And I find beauty in things like that
For whom would you start your engine
And leave the comfort of your bed in the middle of the night?
I bet you have a set of rulers stacked in your pocket
To make sure that you haven’t fallen short in your little world
I happen to like the kind of things that can’t be measured
Oh, where are you gonna rest your feet
When you’re in too deep? Are you gonna fly?
Or are you the type to say things like
“Let’s try and wait” and stare at the stars?
But who’s gonna start her engine
And come and try to save you…
Oh, who will you share your story with and laugh and say
‘Cause I find beauty in times like these
And I find music in things like that
So I’m gonna start my engine
どこにでも行けそうだ in the middle of the night
‘Cause I find beauty in times like these
And I find music in things like that
For whom would you start your engine
And leave the comfort of your bed in the middle of the night?
