Danny boy (Cover)

Oh Danny boy

The pipes, the pipes are calling

From Glen to Glen

And down the mountain side

The summer's gone

And all the roses falling

It's you, it's you

Must go and I must bide

But come you back

When summer's in the meadow

Or when the valley's hushed

And white with snow

It's I'll be here

In sunshine or in shadows

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy

I miss you so

But if you fall

As all the flowers are dying

And you are dead

As dead you will may be

I'll come and find

The place where you are lying

And kneel and say

An ave there for thee

But come you back

When summer's in the meadow

Or when the valley's hushed

And white with snow

It's I'll be here

In sunshine or in shadows

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy

I Love you so

It's I'll be here

In sunshine or in shadows

Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy

I Love you so

Artist Profile

  • kotoriyuki

Growing up in a rich musical environment, Yuki Kotori was exposed to diverse musical cultures through interactions with visiting international musicians and through the Western classical and popular music loved by her father. Her journey as a performing artist began after writing the song Open Your Eyes when her host father, who had been like family for many years, fell into a coma and faced a life-threatening situation. While working as a kindergarten teacher, she developed a desire to create music that gently supports and resonates with people's hearts. This led her to pursue composition more seriously. In 2021, her choral work Hikari was featured in the music education magazine Kyoiku Ongaku. In 2023, her song collection Watashi to Kotori to Suzu to: Songs of Misuzu Kaneko was published by Kyoiku Geijutsu-sha. Her works continue to be performed in schools and kindergartens throughout Japan. In 2024, she received the Grand Prize in the Song Category at the 5th Ukulele Contest 4ALL. Based in Chiba, Japan, Yuki performs with ukulele and piano while continuing to compose choral works, songs and piano pieces. Through concerts, educational settings and community events, she shares music that offers comfort, hope and connection.
