Face of the Sun

Monsoon Gyre releases their long-awaited third mini album "FACE OF THE SUN (Taiyo no Kao)".

"GOLDEN FACE" looked to the future. "BLACK SUN" faced the past. Now the third and final chapter of the trilogy is all about "now".
Like the face of the sun staring straight ahead, this record captures four songs played "here and now" by a band taking on a new challenge after turning 50.

The lead track "Is God on my side?" asks its question like a prayer. "17-sai no Hikidashi (The Drawer of Seventeen)" is a melodic punk song that gently opens up the heart of a 17-year-old. "Sansevieria ga Sakisou nan desu (The Sansevieria Is About to Bloom)" finds a small miracle in a flower that rarely blooms.
The album closes with "Monsoon Gyre (Remix)", a reborn version of the band's own theme song.

Built on ska-pop, this is a record that sparkles like a gemstone.
