This track was created around the image of rain-soaked asphalt
and memories that never truly fade.
A Phonk / Electro Emo piece built from heavy low-end textures
and fractured emotions,
capturing the feeling of moving forward
while still carrying your scars.
The loneliness of walking through a city at night,
quiet impulses,
and pain that cannot be put into words.
I wanted the afterimage of those emotions
to linger somewhere in the listener's heart.
The title "BLACKTOP NAYLOW" is a coined word inspired by
neon lights blurred by rain
and emotional echoes left behind on asphalt.
I hope this becomes a song that quietly remains
after the story ends.
I grew up in a household where the sound of the shakuhachi woke me each morning, surrounded by the presence of the koto and piano. Immersed in traditional Japanese music from a young age, I later spent my formative years absorbing a diverse array of genres without boundaries. Today, those roots form the foundation of my work as I pursue a "Neo-Japan Sound" centered on techno and electromusic. My goal is to update traditional Japanese sensibilities for the modern era through free-form composition that defies convention. Moving beyond fixed concepts and cherishing the inspiration of the moment, I strive to create a multifaceted world of sound driven by endless curiosity.
