Shift -Time Fugue

Sumi Kazama

Reach me…

Reach me…

Anymore…

Ha…

Hey…

Ha…

Light on the water

Cold as a mirror

Someone is calling

Fading clearer

The world turned over

In a flash of white

A silver river

Cut through the night

Your voice was calling

Far from the shore

I tried to answer—

But not anymore

Far from the shore…

Not anymore…

Reach me…

Reach me…

Ha…

A line in the mirror

A vein of light

It touched my fingers

Soft and bright

The sound was falling

The sky was torn

I crossed the silence—

And I was gone

It won’t reach me anymore

Anymore, anymore

Your voice is on the shore

But I’m not there anymore

It won’t reach me anymore

Anymore, anymore

I fall through light and door—

Out of reach forevermore

Ha…

Ah-ha…

Reach me anymore…

Your voice is on the shore…

I’m not there anymore…

Reach me…

Reach me…

Reach me…

It won’t reach me anymore

Anymore, anymore

Your voice is on the shore

But I’m not there anymore

No, it won’t reach me

No, it can’t hold me

Time is calling

Falling slowly

It won’t reach me anymore

Anymore, anymore

I fall through light and door—

Out of reach forevermore

Light on the water

Cold as a mirror

I open my eyes—

The past is nearer

Reach me…

Reach me…

Not anymore

    Shift -Time Fugue

    Sumi Kazama

"Shift" is a two-track cinematic EDM release born from Sumi Kazama's story world, Lost Light. Guided by the light of a mirror, it captures the moment of crossing time from the present into the ancient past through IYO's ethereal vocal and a dramatic electronic soundscape.

The release includes the original "Shift," a compact and emotional portrayal of the time-shift moment, and "Shift - Time Fugue," a fugue-inspired reimagining built from the central hook "It won't reach me anymore," with delayed voices, overlapping vocals, and shimmering synth layers.

At its core is the feeling of being out of reach. Mirror light, water, memory, and a fading voice collide in this cinematic and emotional EDM work.
