A song that sings with all its might about not having money.
The Amefurashi Quartet treats the Tsugaru dialect, a regional language, as "sound," developing a unique musical expression based on jazz. They incorporate not only the meaning of the words, but also the intonation, rhythm, and resonance itself as musical elements, characterizing their approach of making the dialect work not as "lyrics," but as "sound." The band consists of vocalist Takamichi Kasai, pianist Circus Tanaka, bassist Takashi Nozaki, and drummer Sasaki Pants, fusing jazz improvisation with a modern sound. On June 14, 2026, they are scheduled to release their full album in the Tsugaru dialect, themed around Aomori, titled "Wanoway." They are currently expanding their media presence, including being selected for iTunes jazz playlists, being featured in the Too Nippo newspaper, and appearing on a live broadcast on Aomori Asahi Broadcasting. In their live performances, they create a unique atmosphere where the rhythm and groove of the language are integrated, gaining support from adult audiences, particularly jazz listeners.
