本作は、少し背伸びをした恋をテーマに描いたシティポップナンバー。意中の相手との夜のひとときを舞台に、慣れない大人の世界へ足を踏み入れる女性の揺れる心情を、都会的なサウンドと繊細な歌詞で表現している。
タイトルにもなっている“リップスティック”は、大人になりたいという憧れと、まだどこか不器用な自分自身を象徴するモチーフ。グラスを片手に交わす会話や、少しだけ酔いが回る夜の空気感など、誰もが経験したことのあるような恋のワンシーンが印象的に描かれている。
プロデュースは前作に続き、清家寛が担当。 80年代シティポップのエッセンスと現代的なJ-POPサウンドを融合させたアレンジにより、原藤由衣の持つ透明感のある歌声に新たな魅力を与えている。
本作では少し大人になった恋愛観を表現。恋に憧れながらも背伸びをしてしまう、等身大の女性像を描いた作品となっている。

Artist Profile

  • Harafuji Yui

    Born on September 3, 2001, in Hokkaido, Japan, she has appeared eight times on The KaraokeBattle, a karaoke scoring television program hosted by Masaaki Sakai. In 2019, she won the U18 Singing Championship Rookie Tournament after performing Sailor Fuku to Kikanjū and earning a perfect score of 100 points. Since then, she has pursued a wide range of musical activities, including regional events and live performances in the Kanto area. While working as a nurse in Hokkaido, she continued her music career and later performed as an official cheer performer for a professional baseball team during the 2024~2025 season. In 2026, she resumed her singing career in earnest.
