As a Japanese singer-songwriter, my latest single, "Dress up in clothes called dreams", beautifully modernizes the warm and inspiring aesthetics of 1970s and 80s Japanese folk music with my elegant melody.

In this song, I contrast the painful reality of unfulfilled desires and loneliness with the heartwarming realization of unconditional support from my loved ones. Based on my proud history of being selected twice by the prominent media THE MAGAZINE for my musical quality, I deliver a moving narrative of overcoming defeat, encouraging you to dress up in clothes called dreams and take the first step forward once again.

The track features my minimalist, "pure acoustic" style-just my acoustic guitar and mature vocal performance.     [Yukinori Mimura] Singer-Songwriter / Acoustic Guitarist & Vocalist Born and based in Osaka, Japan. I am a professional independent artist whose work has been officially featured twice on the prestigious independent music media "THE MAGAZINE" across both singles and albums. Between 2012 and 2014, under the moniker KOHTENG (derived from the Chinese reading of my real name), I released 29 original tracks and performed live via Nico Nico Douga, capturing a dedicated following. Rooted in foundational training in Hammond organ from early childhood and acoustic guitar, I completely self-manage all songwriting, composition, and performance. I stand as a completely self-funded, independent artist who refuses to rely on corporate advertising financial power. My music stands in stark contrast to modern Japanese pop, which is often consumed through short, superficial video effects. Instead, I craft authentic art meant to be savored by the ears and heart over a full four-minute timeline - true to the literal meaning of music: "to enjoy sound." The core of my majestic sound is driven by the world's finest acoustic guitar, the vintage "MARTIN D-45" featuring rare Brazilian Rosewood (worth thousands of dollars). The overwhelming atmosphere and exquisite acoustic design produced by this supreme, top-tier model are concentrated into every single track. My refined performance style has been highly acclaimed by Toshiaki Usui, the legendary guitarist and arranger who crafted historic hits for Japanese folk icons Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, Chiharu Matsuyama, and Yutaka Ozaki. Usui directly praised my artistry, stating, "Your guitar-and-vocal style is already a complete masterpiece," which led to a collaborative CD production. Transcending language barriers, my raw performances continue to receive passionate praise and direct, glowing comments such as "Your music is so good!" from international musicians on social media. Currently, my Spotify Radio playlist consists almost entirely of Japan's topmost legendary artists, such as Masaharu Fukuyama and Spitz, with my track standing proudly and equally alongside them. This serves as official proof that the streaming store, Spotify, has judged my acoustic sound quality and frequency to be on par with these historic masters.
