Duuuune

Nope Ranges fourth single, Duuuune. This track channels their doubts and anger regarding the current state of Japanese rock into a heavy groove at 90 BPM and an aggressive sound. Packed with heavy brass, a striking guitar solo and a jangly synth solo, it constructs a world where the music feels like a physical blow. The lyrics express their unease with music that unconditionally affirms weakness, whilst showcasing their stance of approaching music with their own convictions. The chorus features a refrain designed for the audience to sing along in unison at live shows, depicting the moment when people sharing the same sense of unease and anger raise their voices in unison. This track, which brings to the fore an aggressiveness not previously seen in Nope Range, reveals a new side to the band.
