Tonight's the party

There you are again

Same little smile

Going straight to my head

Tonight's the party

Don't walk away

I fell for you once

I'm falling again

Oh, what a night—

Tonight I'm talking to you

First time I saw you

Friday night

Red dress dancing

Under golden lights

Glass in my hand

Forgot my drink

You looked at me and

I forgot to think

One step forward

Two steps back

Had a perfect line

Then I lost all that

Your friends said, “Come on”

You turned to go

I didn't even

Get your name

Didn't get your number

Didn't say hello

But something 'bout you

Wouldn't let me go

All week wondering

If we'd meet again

Then Friday night came back around—

And there you were!

Tonight's the party

There you are again

Same little smile

Going straight to my head

Tonight's the party

Don't walk away

I fell for you once

I'm falling again

Oh, what a night!

Tonight I'm talking to you

Second time around

I know what to do

Walk through the door

I'm looking for you

Then across the room

You catch my eye

This time, baby

I don't walk by

Straight through the crowd

Nothing rehearsed

“Hey, I saw you

Here last week first”

You start laughing

Then you say—

“I remember you.”

Little bit closer

Music getting loud

Funny how I can't hear

Anybody now

You say my name

Like you already knew

Maybe I've been thinking—

The same thing as you

Give me your hand

Come a little closer

Don't say a word

The night's not over

Was it just me?

Was it that night?

You squeeze my hand

And look in my eyes

You felt it too

I felt it too

Two Friday nights

To get to you

So take my hand—

Let's dance!

Tonight's the party

Now you're here with me

Your hand in my hand

Moving to the beat

Tonight's the party

Don't need to say

Anything more

Just dance this way

First time I saw you

I fell for you

Second time I saw you

I walked to you

Now look at us

Under these lights—

Oh, what a night!

Tonight's the party

And I'm dancing with you

Tonight's the party

And I'm dancing with you

I'm dancing

I'm dancing—

I'm dancing with you!
