Zigzags, a band expanding its activities at various events such as Nakasu Jazz and Music City Tenjin, will release its 4th single "The Dawn Song" on Wednesday, March 19.
This song, which evokes the crisp chill of dawn that chills the lungs as well, challenges a different approach from the traditional ensemble's compact but dense performances that have shined in the past.
Reversed piano tones, ritualistic toms, and strings. And the strings.
The soundscape, meticulously crafted by the four members, reaches the ear with a vast sense of scale.

    A four-piece band formed in April 2023 with music producer CHOYO and singer Akiun Takeda. The band held a one-man live concert in their hometown of Fukuoka in October of the same year, and despite it being their first live performance, it was sold out, drawing more than 100 people. The innovative songwriting of the duo, which combines CHOYO's roots in black music and Akiun Takeda's roots in film music and folk music, has been highly acclaimed by listeners and music industry professionals alike. The members of the group have performed with many musicians both in and out of the prefecture, and their high-level ensembles are highly acclaimed.
