Reverse Side ZAP is an experimental EP from sibling duo ZAP (Ryuhey & Akky) that strips away the signature funk-heavy, synth-laced layers of their past work, revealing a new musical core through raw simplicity and refined restraint.
This isn't your typical unplugged set-nor is it rough or lo-fi.
Instead, the arrangements are intentionally minimal: just drums, bass, piano, acoustic guitar, and vocals. This allows each instrument, each phrase, each breath to carry weight.
The EP opens with a jazz-tinged piece, followed by tracks that traverse funk, rock, and more-eschewing any sense of genre consistency.
But that's the beauty of Ura ZAP: it's not about labels. It's about confronting the music at its most honest.
