TAILCHASE

Arevos will release her new single "TAILCHASE" on August 14 as the third installment of her instrumental series project, "L.I.F.E."

The track is defined by a forward-thinking sound that draws from dancehall while blending elements of early 2000s HipHop, electronic music, Afrobeats, and the UK underground.

The title "TAILCHASE" is inspired by the motion of continuously drawing a circle while chasing a tail. In the artwork, metallic koi fish are depicted by combining the inorganic texture of metal with the organic form of koi, based on an image of circulation reminiscent of an ouroboros.

Endings and beginnings, repetition and rebirth, and the feeling that time continues to turn.
The image of koi circling as they chase each other's tails symbolizes the way past and present, sound and visuals, street culture and art echo together within one cycle.

Built around a street-leaning groove, the track brings together flexible rhythms, memorable melodies, and a low-end bounce, resulting in a dance tune that moves the body both in the club and in everyday life.

Rather than developing in an overly dramatic way, the beat continues to circulate as if drawing a circle, creating an addictive loop throughout the track. The mood of contemporary dance music intersects with the rough, street-oriented texture of early 2000s HipHop, elevating the song into a sound design that is distinctly Arevos.

L.I.F.E.(Living In Full Echo) is an instrumental series project that begins with Arevos' sound and resonates with creators and artists across art, visuals, vocals, and sound, leaving behind works through that exchange.

As the third installment, "TAILCHASE" depicts "circulation" through both music and artwork, presenting a groove that continues to turn beyond eras as a new chapter in the L.I.F.E. Project.
