On Motion

On Motion brings Base21's musical identity and world into one cohesive body of work. Each track has its own character, while the album is structured to flow naturally as a whole.
Blending Jazz and R&B-inspired harmony with House grooves and the sound and progression of Electronic music, the album explores the way inward emotion can gradually turn into movement. Rather than separating contrasting elements such as stillness and uplift, or introspection and physicality, On Motion allows them to exist within the same continuous flow.
Whether walking, travelling, or spending time alone, the album is intended to fit naturally into everyday moments and subtly change the way those moments and surroundings are experienced.
