Mulhee Band
The long-awaited debut album from Mulhee, an illustrator and musician active in and around Nagoya, is finally available on streaming platforms!
Featuring Mulhee's freewheeling, shape-shifting vocals alongside the trombone of Hiroka Okano, played with the expressiveness of a singing voice, this unconventional collection bursts with cheerful oddities and delightfully eccentric band sounds.
I took all the parts of music that I personally find most delicious and distilled them into songs. The result may be a little crooked, but it's full of joy. I owe that to the wonderful musicians around me and all the uniquely Moony, one-of-a-kind people who have crossed my path.
This album is, above all, a thank-you. It's been praised for both its rich flavor and its smooth finish. Suitable for all seasons.
Please enjoy - and let your snail neigh!

Artist Profile
Mulhee Band
A delightfully off kilter pop band from Nagoya. With members spanning their 20s to 60s, they create a sound that crosses genres, shaped by Japanese pop (kayō), rock, and subcultural sensibilities. Trombone and theremin weave through each other in shifting melodies, while vivid bass, buoyant drums, and enveloping keyboards build a rich, kinetic backdrop. At the center is guitarist and vocalist Mulhee, whose densely layered playing drives the music forward with overwhelming detail and momentum. Built on the diverse experience of its members, the band thrives on the friction of intertwining phrases, unpredictable yet controlled, playful yet razor sharp. To play like painting, to paint like playing. Strange, vivid, and a little unhinged, step into their sound.
