Based in Tokyo neighborhoods like Shimokitazawa, The Potato Box is set to release their new single, "Kessho" (Crystal), on all major streaming platforms on February 7th.
The band has been steadily gaining momentum, with their previous release, "24," being featured on the IMALAB NEWCOMER PLAYLIST. This latest track was mixed by Tomoro Shimada, known for his work with kurayamisaka.
"Kessho" was born from the idea that everything we see and hear in modern society is a "crystal" formed from the accumulation of our daily lives. The song was inspired by the band's desire for people to feel a tangible connection between their hard work and the world around them.
Formed in 2021. This three-piece band delivers a sound heavily influenced by Japanese rock and alternative indie scenes, both domestic and international. With a minimalist approach, their raw lyrics and melodies resonate deeply, finding their way into the daily lives of listeners as a source of solace.Based in Tokyo, they are actively performing across the city's live house scene.
