"Funk It, You Need It" is a new-era funk anthem dedicated to the modern dance floor, where nostalgia and the future brilliantly intersect.

The tracks creation utilized a groove analyzed and generated by AI as its foundation. However, its soul lies in an unwavering commitment to organic sounds. The drums, bass, and guitar were all meticulously programmed in the DAW to achieve an "almost live" feel. We pursued human-like "swing" and "groove imperfections," realizing a warm, pulsating sound despite the digital production.

The mixing philosophy was "Luxurious Simplicity." While the track has a sparse number of elements, we built a rich, expansive soundscape where every single sound is a star, utilizing sophisticated spatial effects and precise panning. The world described in the lyrics"Smooth talkin," "Silver heels and champagne dreams" is brought to life three-dimensionally by the sonics: the late-night neon, the glittering disco ball, and the pounding kick and bassline that surge through your body.

    Recognized for being nominated twice on Ryuichi Sakamoto FM J-Wave program "gut on-line," the artist began collaborating with the DJ unit OrientaRhythm, active in the Kansai and Kanto club scenes. Since then, they have contributed to remixing works for numerous artists, including Ayumi Hamasaki, DOUBLE, Every Little Thing (ELT), and Lupin remixes. At the time, the artist was among the few who actively developed DAW environments, gaining expertise in PC-based music production. Leveraging this knowledge, they established a professional mix-down setup in their studio while also mastering track-down techniques.
