  While studying vocal music, she sang new music songs in a band performance at the school festival, which prompted her to move away from classical music and begin performing in a fusion band after graduation. She began working as a chorus singer in 1987. While performing as a back-up singer for famous singers in the pop world, she also performed in radio and TV commercials, clubs, cabarets, etc. Later, she worked as an exclusive singer for the tango band "Tango Yamato" for 10 years, singing eastern and western tango, as well as Japanese tango. She performs live Japanese jazz concerts with jazz musicians. She is currently active in a Showa era pop unit. Artists who influenced her include Kasagi Shizuko, Chiaki Naomi, and Yoshida Minako.
